A busy shopping center depends on a safe, attractive, and well-maintained parking lot. Elite Pavement Maintenance recently completed a large commercial parking lot maintenance project at Grand Central Mall in Vienna, West Virginia. The project included extensive pavement preparation, two coats of commercial-grade asphalt sealcoating, fresh parking lot striping, ADA-compliant layout verification, new handicap parking signs, and wheel stop installation.
Every successful parking lot sealcoating project begins long before the sealer is applied. Our crew started by wire brooming dirt and debris from the asphalt surface, grinding vegetation from pavement cracks, and using industrial blowers to thoroughly clean the parking lot. The following day, our crew returned to blueprint the parking lot before applying any paint. Every parking stall, access aisle, fire lane, and directional marking was measured and laid out to ensure proper spacing, efficient traffic flow, and ADA compliance. Once the layout was finalized, fresh parking lot striping was applied using high-quality traffic paint. Bright pavement markings improve visibility, increase customer safety, enhance curb appeal, and create a more organized parking experience for shoppers visiting Grand Central Mall.
The project also included the installation of new ADA handicap parking signs and wheel stops. Proper signage and wheel stops help protect pedestrians, sidewalks, landscaping, and nearby buildings while ensuring designated accessible parking spaces remain clearly identified and compliant.
